This workshop is designed for those who value sustainability, material awareness, and the simple pleasure of making something with their hands. Each participant will take home a plant, planted in their handcrafted pot — a tangible reminder of the connection between earth, creativity, and life.
Step away from the digital and reconnect with the ground beneath your feet. This immersive, hands-on workshop invites you to explore clay as both a living material and a creative medium — from its role in ecosystems to its many applications in daily life.
Together, we will venture into the fundamentals of clay:
How to identify it in nature;
How to harvest and extract it responsibly;
Understand its different types and pigments;
Processes in preparing it for use.
Along the way, we will explore clay’s chemical and structural importance in soil health, plant vitality, and natural cohesion, as well as its traditional and contemporary uses in beauty, decoration, and functional objects.
The experience culminates in getting your hands truly dirty — sculpting your own clay pot by hand, embracing imperfection, texture, and process. No prior experience is needed, only curiosity and a willingness to slow down.
